Paperlike Screen Protector Review
I purchased the Paperlike screen protector to enhance my writing experience on the iPad. I chose Paperlike because it has received positive reviews from many YouTubers and is generally well-liked. The product comes with two screen protectors and all the necessary accessories for installation.
However, my experience with installation was frustrating. Despite following the instructions carefully, I ended up with multiple air bubbles when installing the first screen protector. I tried using the second protector from the kit but encountered the same issue. After some research, I discovered that several people had similar problems, particularly with units purchased from Amazon. Some speculated that the stock might have been sitting on shelves for too long, affecting the installation process.
I contacted Paperlike, and they kindly sent me a replacement kit with two new screen protectors. Unfortunately, I still couldn’t install them without bubbles. I found a similar product from a company named ESR. Unlike the Paperlike protector, the ESR protector is removable, attaching to the magnets on the edge of the iPad screen. Although there is a small gap between the screen protector and the iPad screen, the protector remains very responsive and offers the same enhanced writing experience.
For my use case, the ESR screen protector is the perfect solution. It is inexpensive, works well, and is removable. This removability allows me to easily attach the screen protector for writing sessions and remove it when I need the full color gamut for photo or video editing on my 12.9-inch iPad Pro.

In conclusion, while the Paperlike screen protector is an excellent product, I struggled with air bubbles during installation, likely due to my environment.
